A market leading client based in Bolton are looking to appoint a number of Transport Planners to the team on the HGV side of the planning due to centralising their planning function.

Client Details

A well recognised Logistics provider with a number of sites across the UK.


To control the depot resources ensuring all legal constraints are adhered to (Working time directive and EU Drivers hours)
Produce effective transport plans ensuring all collections and deliveries are completed on time and in full
Ensuring Isotrak housekeeping is completed to the required standards
Communicate with MHS/CS regarding collection issues and late requests
Liaising with agency providers to ensure the required amount of driver resource is in place


Excellent people skills
Be able to work effectively as part of a team
Be accurate when maintaining records
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and with senior managers
To be flexible with hours of work as evening and weekend work may be required in line with business requirements (from time to time)
Strong analytical skills - spot trends, draw conclusions and make recommendations to management
The ability to generate reports
Good Geographical and UK road network knowledge
Experience within a Transport Office is essential for this role

Job Offer

Salary: £26,000 - £28,890 depending on experience

Hours: Monday - Friday (10:00 - 19:00)
