Fantastic new permanent opportunity now available in Northampton, Northamptonshire. Working Monday - Friday sociable working hours, the role is suitable for an experienced Transport Planner who is keen to develop their career within Transport and Logistics.

Client Details

You will be working for a reputable Logistics business who offer a wide range of services to their customers. They have a great reputation both locally and across the UK, working with a wide and diverse customer base. This is a brilliant opportunity to join their expanding team and they deliver year on year growth.


As the Transport Planner, you will be working closely with both drivers and customers to ensure effective execution and coordination of deliveries across the UK.

From confirming the orders, allocating drivers and vehicles to planning the routes and dealing with customer queries, you will be the point of contact ensuring deadlines are met and targets achieved. You will be providing excellent customer service, building strong rapport with drivers, customers and sub-contractors.

In line with company polices and procedures you will ensure all administration and records are kept up to date.


The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Traffic office. You will need to be able to handle pressure and fast pace along with You will have knowledge in route planning, optimising routes and costs.

You will be an excellent team player with the ability to build excellent professional relationships.

Whilst you will be working Monday - Friday sociable hours, you will be required to cover holidays outside of this, flexibility is absolutely required.
