My client is a very well established distributor of home essentials, they distribute to everyone from house builders to people in their homes and have been successfully serving the country nationwide for the past 30 years.

My client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their ever growing team based out of Staffordshire.

Client Details

My client has offices in 7 different countries across the globe. They serve everyone from builders merchants to large scale retail businesses, to consumers in their homes and huge building and construction companies.

My client has 10,000 different products which end up in peoples homes each year, whether it be through their third party retail providers or direct from them to peoples homes.

They are one of the largest providers of home fixtures and fittings across the whole of the UK in their area of the market.


The role of Transport Planner will :
  • Planning 35 routes per day, all multi drop
  • Planning manually, so a fantastic understanding of UK geography is required
  • You will be required to plan routes to building sites as well as home delivery and delivery to stores
  • The planner will be working to very tight time scales as the client has a next day delivery option on most of their items


The successful Transport Planner candidate must have

  • Experience of multi drop planning
  • Experience of Ecommerce planning as well as planning routes to the retailer
  • The ability to work to strict time scales (next day delivery planning)
  • Experience of planning manually
  • Fantastic understanding and ability to use Excel to a high level

Job Offer

Salary is anywhere from £25,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience
