I am actively looking to engage dynamic Transport Supervisors who will be a key focal point in developing change within an ever expanding transport business. You will be passionate about combating challenges and will be rewarded strongly for your drive and ambition.

Client Details

My client is based in the Nottinghamshire area and the successful Transport Supervisor will be joining a leading blue-chip business. Focused in the retail and FMCG sector my client has a fleet of around 120 trailers and 50 tractor units across their operation. They are achieving rapid grow and are looking to recruit a Transport Supervisor to reach demands.

Description

The successful Transport Supervisor will report into the on-site Transport Manager and will be responsible for overall fleet compliance adherence and driver management on a daily basis:
  • Required to cover a variety of 4on4off shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • The daily management of over 50 drivers and agency staff in a heavily unionised environment
  • Responsible for delivering and achieving key KPI's surrounding on-time deliveries.
  • Ensure vehicles are operating within VOSA service requirements.
  • Conducting driver de-briefs and monitoring tacho infringements.
  • Interrogate systems to provide management information, carry out analysis and rectification as necessary.
  • Maintain and update knowledge on legislation and health and safety issues
  • Investigate accidents and look at ways to improve driver safety
  • Utilise planning tools to ensure on-time deliveries of products / collections to achieve KPI's.

Profile

The drive and passion to deliver change are very important in finding the correct candidate; however the ideal candidate will have the following features:
  • A strong knowledge of vehicle compliance
  • Ideally CPC qualified
  • Hands-on experience with the daily management of drivers
  • Experience with creating and altering plans to achieve successful deliveries
  • Ideally experience with Microlise or Paragon planning software
  • Experience managing up to / over 30 drivers
  • IOSH / NEBOSH certified would be beneficial
  • A knowledge / prove track record of accident investigation / disciplinary procedures
  • History of driver debriefs / tacho infringements.

Job Offer

£27,000-£29,500 + bonus
