My client is looking for a Transport Supervisor to run on of the hubs based in Bristol, this person needs to be familiar with planning and cross stocking (Inter Branch Transfers)

Growing logistics distribution and supply chain retail hub.

Description

Transport Supervisor

  • Familiar with cross stocking

  • Supervision of office staff and drivers on shift

  • Accident & Disciplinary investigations

  • Updating deliveries onto in-house system

  • Liaising with drivers for any transport issues or updates.

  • Providing support for the management team.

  • Managing drivers via live tracker system

  • Health & Safety Spot Checks - promoting a best in class Health & Safety environment

  • Managing driver infringements

  • Driver Induction/Training

  • Working with the team to ensure all deadlines are met.

Profile

Transport Supervisor

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to promote and motivate the team

  • Experience working in a Transport/Logistics office is necessary.

  • Excellent organisation and communications skills.

  • Able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in a busy and demanding environment.

  • A very flexible and adaptable approach to working, particularly at peak periods during the year.

  • Computer literate with a good understanding of MS Office applications.

  • Able to work well as part of a team in a busy office environment is essential.

  • Able to work to tight deadlines and manage their own time effectively.

  • Knowledge of transport software systems would be advantageous (training will be given).

  • A sound understanding of managing and resolving driver infringements.
