To effectively manage the transport team to ensure that the transport operation is compliant and in line with all EU transport regulations.

Description
  • Responsible for invoice queries and purchase order numbers
  • Staff absence
  • Recording all holidays for the department
  • Understand all departmental financial targets and their impact on operational performance
  • The weekly reconciliation of all transport purchase orders and onward communication with suppliers as necessary
  • Production and distribution of all weekly cost and performance reports
  • Dealing with administration regarding any motor accidents ensuring that all paperwork is completed and followed through
  • Effective communication of all motor incidents to the relevant departments ensuring investigations take place in a timely manor
  • The effective system integration of driver tachograph records through the tachomaster systems and onward communication with drivers over any identified infringements
  • Daily vehicle checks and inspections
  • Disciplinaries
  • Return to work
  • Promote a safe working environment at all times
  • Team coaching
  • Communicating working practices to team members
  • Provide order for transport clerks
  • Dealing with telephone inquiries
  • General administration duties such as letter writing and filing
  • Participating in managers meeting and communication information to team members
  • Understanding commercial awareness to help make decisions for your team
  • Problem solving
