Opportunity for a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to instigate change within busy function.

Your new company
You will be joining a 24/6 FMCG manufacturing site, who are experiencing a sustained period of growth and investment.

Your new role
As an active member of the senior leadership team, you will be given full autonomy for the day to day organisation, storage and distribution of goods. This is a challenging warehouse setting due to the complexity of the operations as you will control all aspects of the warehouse, stock movements across the manufacturing sites as well as the unloading and loading or deliveries and internal stock transfers to other sites. You will be tasked with identifying bottlenecks and implementing long term solutions whilst taking a holistic view of all internal people and processes to deliver lean and continuous improvement methodologies across the site.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Warehouse and Logistics professional who is used to running a fast paced warehousing operation with a high bay racking environment whilst ensuring total adherence to Health and Safety, Quality and other legislative requirements. Your previous career history should demonstrate, through your achievements your ability to perform at this level.

What you'll get in return
This role will initially be recruited on a 6 month fixed term contract, whilst you restructure the warehousing area, it is expected that a permanent role will be offered at the end of this; providing you have proved your skills over the initial 6 months. This will be demonstrated through an efficient, well managed, tidy warehouse operation that supports the manufacturing areas in meeting all production demands, the outward on time delivery to customers and reduced operating costs. The salary range on offer is in the region of £45-50,000.
