Warehouse manager needed to a start up food company in East London - sustainable food

Your new company
This organic food delivery company are embarking on a very exciting venture. They are aiming to deliver food around London in an eco-friendly manner. The customers enjoy healthier food at lower prices and the food is sourced from top local suppliers. They are now seeking a warehouse manager to lead the team to ensure they continue delivering excellent results.

Your new role

As the Warehouse Manager, you will be managing a sizeable team and be responsible for all activity in their London Hub. This includes; training the pickers and ensuring they are motivated and enjoying their job. You will ensure the hub runs smoothly and produce KPIs which are a main component of the supply chain function. You will have excellent customer service experience and you will be looking to the future in order to plan the months ahead. Overall, you will effectively oversee all aspects of the day to day picking operation which include; fresh produce quality control, picking of orders, order accuracy checking, issue resolution, stock control and packaging & equipment management.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will need to have 2+ years’ experience within transport and warehouse operations. You will have experience of managing and training staff and have the ability to work under pressure. You will be to have flexible hours (between 5am-11pm) and be willing to work some weekends. You will need to be an enthusiastic and driven individual who is resilient to working in a tough but comfortable environment.
