Client Details

Global Distribution Business based in the West Yorkshire area requires a Warehouse Supervisor to join them during an exciting period of growth.

Description

As Warehouse Supervisor your responsibilities will include:
  • Contribute to the daily delivery of service through effective process delivery.
  • Investigate and challenge errors as appropriate utilising available resources.
  • Monitor individual and departmental performance providing feedback as appropriate
  • Lead, motivate and coach a team of operatives, developing talent to implement a succession plan. Deliver regular one to ones, manage all aspects of sickness absence, disciplinary processes and employee relations management.
  • Minimise stock loss and shortages to support the business KPI’s and P&L.
  • Manage the team headcount within pre-agreed budgetary levels.
  • Deliver efficiency's through effective execution of 5S principles.
  • Deliver and role model a culture of health, safety and environment, including awareness of individual and corporate responsibilities regarding health and safety.
  • Ensure all near misses are reported in a timely manner and all follow up completed.
  • Drive good housekeeping at all times within area

Profile

To be considered for the role of Warehouse Supervisor you must be able to comfortably demonstrate:
  • Strong leadership and previous people management experience
  • Experience within a distribution centre or production environment
  • Knowledge of warehouse systems
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work methodically
  • Ability to deliver continuous improvement
