You will take responsibility for a team of Controllers with a variety of supplier portfolios and will be the key person accountable for critical suppliers and for resolving key supply issues in supporting production in terms of Materials.

As Materials Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:

Keep production and dispatch areas fully informed of carrier to expect and what to load onto each

Obtain freight quotes when required for Export shipments.
Provide POD's / Delivery notes.

Ontvangst: Er voor zorgdragen dat materialen vanuit cleaning tijdig in het workcenter komen. Signaleren en communiceren van afwijkingen zowel in aantal, 12nc, kwaliteit en reinheid. Actie ondernemen om afwijkingen opgelost te krijgen.

Voorraadbeheer: Beheren van de voorraadlocaties in het workcenter en staging area (na cleaning). Het op voorraad boeken en uitgeven van modules. Zorgen voor een goede voorraadnauwkeurigheid. Signaleren en corrigeren van afwijkingen en het aansturen van afkeuren.

Defect: Defect materiaal correct en snel afhandelen. Correct en snel retour sturen van overbodig/defect materiaal naar het magazijn. Aansturen kit order en het afgeven van een second trigger: orders plaatsten om materialen vanuit het warehouse op te roepen en aankomen bij het betreffende workcenter.

Kennis overdracht: Opdoen en doorgeven van relevante kennis van nieuwe en bestaande processen en veiligheidaspecten naar andere in het workcenter en met name de back-up. Collega's wijzen op een juist gebruik van de logistieke systemen.

Reviews master production schedule and work orders, establishes priorities for specific customer orders and revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities and manufacturing capacity.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
1. Analyze MRP data for accuracy, place purchase orders/production work orders to meet production schedules and customer demand.
2. Manage and analyze inventory needs to maintain acceptable levels of inventory to meet production plan and have a positive impact on budgets and financials.
3. Qualify both new and existing vendors for performance abilities and quality issues to assure quality parts are received in a timely manner.
4. Negotiate with suppliers favorable costs, terms, and minimums.

Ideal candidate will possess:
1. 3- 5 years experience with contract negotiation, inventory management, vendor qualification, sourcing experience and working with subcontract suppliers.
2. Ability to analyze MRP demand, inventory levels, tracking of inventory & budgetary/profitability impact.
3. Analytical, detailed oriented, strong organizational and communication skills.
4. Ability to establish key contacts/relationships in all aspects of the business.
5. Proficient in Microsoft applications
