Your new role
The Buyer position is providing purchasing support to an incredibly busy function at a time of growth for the business. You will be responsible for buying and purchasing all direct materials for production and support. You will be tracking deliveries and investigating any which do not meet the business requirements. Being the first port of call for suppliers will be a crucial part of the role, and you will be negotiating prices and monitoring the performance of the businesses vendors. Administrative support for the procurement function will also be key. We are looking for someone proactive and able to create an impact to a busy procurement function.
What you'll need to succeed
Some experience in purchasing, whether that be as a buyer, assistant buyer, purchasing support or procurement administrator. As this is with a production line manufacturer, experience with a manufacturing environment is also important. Sage experience would be beneficial, but the ability to learn new systems is essential.
What you'll get in return
A salary of £25,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience + other benefits including a half day on Fridays.
