Your new role
You will be part of the contracting team specialising in the procurement of Stationery and IT Consumables such as printer ink, paper, PC accessories etc, providing a full and professional service to all of the organisation's members. You will be advising on the acquisition of any goods or services as required and will work without supervision to deliver all duties and requirements. You will manage and monitor all contracts and assigned frameworks including the negotiation of contract variances to effect continuous improvement in delivery. You will also lead and mentor the contracting team resulting in their development and enhanced execution of their duties.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be CIPS qualified (or willing to complete Level 6/MCIPS) and have excellent, up to date, knowledge of EU procurement legislation. You will have experience working within a public sector company and be familiar with OJEU tenders. You must have experience of contract management and procedures, preferably within a stationery/IT consumables environment. You will also be willing to lead and mentor a team alongside personal duties, so strong people management and interpersonal skills are essential.
