Category Manager

The client is a public sector body with multiple sites in Wakefield, Sheffield, Hull and North Yorkshire. This is a great opportunity to join a talented procurement function as a Category Manager.

Description

As a Category Manager your duties will include, however are not limited to:

  • Negotiate and influence senior stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver procurement savings plans for specific categories
  • Lead and manage complex and strategic force collaborative procurement projects
  • Manage contract reviews for key business critical contracts
  • Develop and manage sustainable procurement strategies
  • Motivate and mentor Category Officers to assist in their development

Profile

  • MCIPS Qualified
  • Worked in a public sector procurement function - desirable
  • Understanding of procurement legislation
  • Have completed all aspects of category management

Job Offer

Starting salary of c£34,000 + fantastic benefits package (including 30 days holiday + bank holidays)
