Contracts Manager

A leading client within the NHS.

Description

    • Develop and maintain excellent supplier relationships

    • Workings closely with other colleagues in the contracting team

    • Develop and maintain commercial, financial and legal knowledge

    • To negotiate best value for money purchases and low value procurement requests

    • Attend and assist at meetings as appropriate, including preparation of agenda, and minute taking

    • Ensure that all quotation and order activity is in accordance with Public Procurement Regulations

    • Assist and implement best practice as directed by the management team

    • Support the management team in monitoring on a regular basis the performance of suppliers

  • Cost analysis, market research and bench marking of goods and services

Profile

  • Good negotiation skills and must be confident and able to communicate with internal customers and suppliers
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Experience within Public Sector Procurement
  • Have knowledge, understand and follow Public Procurement Regulations

Job Offer

Temporary position for 12 months starting Jan 2020

Depending on experience £100 to £200 a day Inside IR35
