Digital Team Manager

I've just taken an exciting brief for a Digital Team Manager to join one of the UK's market leaders in the retail sector, based in Leeds.

Over the past few years, the company has gone from strength to strength and has recently moved all the logistics works in house after previously using a third-party logistics company.


Day to day responsibilities of the Digital Team Manager can range from any of the following:

  • Accurate and timely planning of daily work volumes to ensure sufficient people resources are in place to meet Customer Promise
  • Monitor team performance in order to achieve productivity and cost targets i.e. productivity, accuracy, and controllable absence
  • Ensure department capability and productivity are aligned to achieve department targets
  • Understand departmental financial targets and their impact on operational performance i.e. CPU
  • Manage the fulfilment of customer orders through the Brand websites, ensuring that all department targets and Customer Promise is met at all times
  • Escalation of system issues using the service desk
  • Use dashboards relevant to your area to provide regular updates
  • Ensure all faulty equipment is logged with systems
  • Develop your team to ensure they are all able to work in other areas and take responsibility
  • Ensure you update the management team with any issues/impacts that may affect them
  • Responsible for auditing direct reports ability to manage standards
  • To monitor and regularly review KPIs, proactively looking for continuous improvement and cost savings to benefit the DC


The successful candidate for the Digital Team Manager ideally has the following key skills & qualities:

  • A proven record in supervising a team
  • Knowledge of KPIs and their application
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
  • PC literate
  • Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business
  • Excellent organisation
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Able to manage and work to tight deadlines
  • Display a positive attitude and conduct themselves as a role model

Job Offer
