Engineer | Applications/Design | Electric Motors | Lincolnshire | £35,000 + bens
Your new company
You will be joining an international manufacturer and distributor of electric motors, drives and components with operations globally. Working from their UK Head Office, you will form an integral part of their Engineering team, focusing on Applications and Design Engineering specialising on Electric Motors.
Your new role
As Applications Engineer you will support the European sales teams and customers with technical product queries relating to the Electric Motor product range; as well as translating customer requirements, to recommend relevant products and where required designing minor product changes in readiness for manufacturing. You will also support the Quality team to conduct route cause analysis on issues and provide customer support.
What you'll need to succeed
Typical customer requests will be related to the current, voltage, flow rate and pressure rate of the existing product range, so as a minimum you should possess some existing knowledge of Electric Motors or Industrial Fans; although specific training will be provided on the product range. The engineering team is typically educated to a high level, so it would be preferred if you hold a degree within Electrical or Electronic Engineering. It would also be helpful if you have some design capabilities on 2D/3D to make minor changes to existing products. You should also be an excellent communicator, a team-player and someone who enjoys solving technical problems.
What you'll get in return
You will be reporting into the Engineering Lead, who has recently been promoted in the business, evidencing their approach to Continuous Professional Development; the initial product training will be extensive as well as ongoing industry recognised professional qualifications such as the opportunity to become Green Belt certified for Lean Six Sigma. The salary range is up to £35,000 with a benefits packaging including: 33 days holiday, Health Cash Plan, Pension (5% employer contribution) and life cover.
