A global leader in facilities management services are seeking an FM Category Buyer to join their established team in Cambridgeshire for a 12 month fixed term contract.
Your new role
The FM Category Buyer will be responsible for providing a cost effective procurement service to the business, work closely with stakeholders to obtain products & services and to support the strategic objectives of the Procurement Department.
The FM Category Buyer role will include proactively managing and building relationships with key suppliers, challenging costs and ensure value for money, implementing supplier improvement programmes and minimising contractual risk. This role is to provide maternity cover for 12 months, the contract will finish end of June 2020.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful FM Category Buyer will have previous experience within the FM Category, soft services is desirable. In addition, you will have demonstrable procurement experience, excellent communication skills, strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage a large and diverse workload.
