General Manager

Our client are one of the leading UK logistics providers who deliver an excellent service to a range of customers. They have a number of distribution centres located around the country and continue to develop their expansive portfolio.


The key responsibilities for the General Manager role are:

  • Day to day management of distribution centre
  • Working closely with varied range of customers
  • Use Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Overall site Health & Safety responsibility
  • Engage with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Develop staff performance on site


The General Manager will have:

  • Extensive multi-user General Management experience
  • E-commerce background
  • Excellent influencing skills with an ability to face into customers
  • Previous experience of CI / Six Sigma
  • An ability to manage change through a complex organisation
  • Understanding of open / closed book contracts
