Following a major Procurement transformation, a respected FTSE 100 Technology Firm in the heart of Surrey is seeking a Global Category Manager to help define Procurement strategy for a wide range of Professional Services.
Your primary objective is to provide the business with year on year cost reduction and competitive advantage by proactively providing partnerships, agreements, frameworks and Strategic Relationship Management (SRM).
Mandate has recently been granted at Board level, putting you in an excellent position to make a real impact and demonstrate the value of a truly strategic Procurement function.
Role & Requirements:
- Responsible for defining the global strategy for Professional Services expenditure and associated sub-categories, including Recruitment (Permanent & Contingent Labour), Employee Benefits & Rewards, Learning & Development, Management, Advisory & Compliance Consultancy and Legal Services - total spend of c£80m
- Provide ongoing development and implementation of Category and Sub-Category strategies which typically cover a 1-3 year horizon and are aligned with business requirements
- Build strong relationships and work closely with key business stakeholders at all levels to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and aligned with the Category sourcing strategies, providing expert external supply market knowledge to the business
- Act as ambassador for the Procurement team and champion for the Global Procurement Transformation Project
