I'm working with an SME who manufacture high end technology products to businesses globally. As a Global Head of Supply Chain you will cover a broad range of commodities working with global suppliers to supply raw material into their UK manufacturing site as well as ensure an efficient supply chain is in place to support their sites across the Far East, US & Europe.

Description

Lead the strategic direction for both the supply base and manage the supply chain into multiple locations across the Far East, US & Europe. Ensuring efficiency in both product cost and the supply chain.

Effective leadership and development of inventory, supply chain and purchasing operations across all businesses within the group
Lead high level contract negotiations with major global suppliers to ensure minimal risk and continuity
De-risk the existing supply chain
Ensure early sourcing and supplier involvement in the NPD and NPI processes
Ensure inventory, supply chain and purchasing business system data is accurately maintained and periodically reviewed

Profile

The ideal candidate will have managed a global supply base and wider supply chain within a manufacturing engineering environment, preferably experience within an SME as well as a larger corporate business.
