Despite the ongoing uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic, this global electronics organization has reported an INCREASE in forecasted sales and little negative impact to their warehouses globally. The business is looking to continue to build and develop its global supply chain network and further enhance its Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) Logistics operations across the EMEA region. The position of Logistics Outsourcing Vendor Manager will see you playing a leading role in negotiating Master Service Agreements (MSA) with local, regional and global logistics service providers that can deliver the appropriate D2C service to the business that will meet the increasing demand of consumers in the marketplace.

As the Global Logistics Outsourcing Vendor Manager for D2C your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead global negotiations with D2C Logistics Service providers to obtain maximum value for money by balancing cost, quality and capability in line with global performance criteria
  • Performance tracking; understanding KPIs for multiple vendors and locations to provide valuable insights to internal business stakeholders through monthly and quarterly business reviews
  • Internal Communications; building communications channels between all EMEA markets to allow for efficient sharing of information and business strategy
  • Vendor Management; proven ability to onboard and manage global Logistics Managed Service Providers (MSPs), preferably within warehousing and transportation
  • Team Leadership; As the scope of this position grows there will be opportunity to recruit and build a team within the next 2-3 years

The ideal candidate for the position of Global Logistics Outsourcing Vendor Manager for D2C should have the following skills:

  • Proven track record in outsourced logistics vendor management; preferably within a consumer electronics organization
  • Clear subject matter expertise in Logistics Operations, especially within D2C logistics
  • Exceptional analytical skills to manage vendor data and deliver clear and insightful dashboards
  • Excellent communication skills to foster relationships between various internal business units across multiple geographies
  • Highly entrepreneurial and effective in a standalone role with the mindset to build and develop a new department within Logistics
