Global Purchasing Manager - 6 month Interim

Our Client is global leader within the manufacturing sector with a fantastic reputation for quality products. The company has seen substantial growth both in the UK and on a global scale over the past 5 years. This is a newly created role within the company which is aimed at supporting the continued growth.


Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

  • Lead and Manage the direct purchasing function at a global level
  • Implement and execute various category strategies
  • Drive the various teams to achieve cost saving and project targets
  • Coach and develop teams/individuals where needed
  • Deliver against personal cost saving targets
  • Work closely with the team to ensure process and governance adherence
  • Collaborate with site management to secure buy-in and support to implementation


The successful candidate will posses;

  • Demonstrable track record in delivering cost savings in direct purchasing
  • Demonstrable track record in managing global teams
  • Proven ability in coaching teams and delivering targets
  • Previous exposure to manufacturing categories such as, Mechanical components, electronics, Castings, forgings
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Demonstrable examples of stake holder management
