Arising from soaring supply planning requirements, this international chemical company is seeking to grow their global supply planning team in order to manage the organization's evolving and increasingly complex supply network. You will be planning the mid and long-term supply of a broad selection of products to over 50 warehouses globally, which extends to manufacturing plants and production sites in Europe, South America and Asia.

You will possess an advanced understanding of planning systems such as MRP II, MPS and DRP which will enhance the effectiveness and speed of your supply analysis. Aligning the supply plan with various stakeholders across areas such as logistics, demand planning and plant production will require unparalleled communication skills and a thorough understanding of the supply planning process.

The Role

As the Global Supply Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • Using and implementing various supply chain management systems such as MRP II, MPS and DRP to review and forecast inventory stock levels at warehouses throughout the Netherlands and the wider global supply network

  • Process mapping of current internal demand to support standardization and optimization opportunities across plants and markets regionally and globally

  • Use supply planning data and market knowledge to predict and mitigate potential challenges or alterations to the flow of supply

  • Addressing differing expectations and requirements across various stakeholder groups, such as resolving stock differences in with logistics service providers


Key skills and experience required as Global Supply Planner:

  • An acute understanding of supply planning and relevant planning systems that will enable you to execute well designed plans effectively

  • Refined communication and stakeholder management skills which are key to predicting and managing expectations across different areas, such as Commercial Controlling, Warehousing, Logistics and Plant Production

  • Ability to think outside the box and strive for continuous improvement across your department

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Planning or related field as well as relevant supply chain qualifications, such as CPIM
