Head of Planning UK&IE

My client is a multi-billion Global Food FMCG Manufacturer and is currently one of the most exciting businesses to join across the UK. They are going through a substantial growth period through huge investment in product development that is not only healthy but aims to reduce the carbon footprint through the power of plants. They are seeking the very best talent in the market place for this exciting movement in the food industry.


My client is looking for a Supply Chain Planning Manager UK/IE supporting the markets, by leading the planning team that consists of demand and requirement planners. The primary focus is on driving the long term, volume forecasting aspects of our S&OP process, ensuring stock availability to deliver high Customer Service levels in the short term. Key responsibilities include:

  • Demand & Promo/Activity planning, with the aim to provide a robust, statistically generated base rates at customer level for all SKUs over a rolling 6 months horizon
  • Provide stock management & availability processes to enable 98.5% levels customer service
  • Lead the S&OP meeting
  • Provide a realistic rolling 7-24 months volume forecast to support the S&OP process
  • Obsolete management (avoidance); identify obsolete risks, initiate and follow through required actions to avoid obsoletes


This opportunity is reporting into the Head of Supply Chain and we are seeking candidates who have the mind-set of a start-up yet have experience working for large FMCG brands in Demand or Supply Planning.

  • Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education attainment in a related field;
  • Have wide Supply Chain expertise, namely in Demand Forecasting, Business Planning and Project Management.
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Have an analytical mind, with high attention to details and accuracy;
  • Are capable to work independently in an ever changing, fast moving environment;
  • Can spot and solve needs and problems proactively;
  • Are not easily stressed by managing different, often conflicting priorities and deadlines;
  • Have composure, resilience and stress resistance, with high energy level;
  • Have high level of accountability
