Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Customs Team with full responsibility of all processes, systems, reporting and KPIs
- Lead the Brexit strategy of behalf of the group including training and advising relevant business areas
- You will need to have good knowledge of legislation and keep up to date with legislation and regulatory requirements
- Ensure disruption to the flow of goods due to potential customs issues is kept to a minimum
- You will develop, co-ordinate and oversee effective implementation and operation of international trade controls and processes (e.g. AEO accreditation).
- Working with the Logistics teams to ensure that we are compliant with regards to the customs warehousing solution.
- Ensure all documents and declarations (where required) are in place prior to arrival of the goods
Profile
What will you have:
- At least 3 years' experience in a fast-paced customs environment
- Experience of using CHIEF and or Destin8
- In depth knowledge and experience in Customs and Excise regulations
- Experience managing Customs Compliance
- Experience in managing customs warehousing policies and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of import and export from non-EU countries, particularly the documentation and certificates needed for goods to enter the UK
- Strong leadership and organisational management skills and the ability to build and lead a newly formed team
Job Offer
£40,000-£50,000 Base + Package
