Indirects Buyer - Leading Property Services - £40K + Excellent Package - Central London

With a recent backing from a top private equity firm, this leading organisation offering property services are due to double in size. In line with the enormous expansion, they are offering a fantastic opportunity to join their procurement team as an indirect buyer, covering all Facilities Management categories.

With FM being an integral category to the nature of this firm, they are seeking an ambitious and driven procurement professional who is keen to build on their career in FM, progressing to more senior roles within the first 12-18 months . This is a newly created role, so you will be pivotal in shaping the procurement function within the organisation and creating the direction for future roles to follow.

Reporting directly to the head of procurement, you will work together daily to implement strategies and engage in end-to-end procurement processes. This position is based in Central London and offers a salary of £40K, alongside an excellent package, including a 12% bonus, private health care, gym and restaurant discounts, and more! As the category buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring this firm continues to lead the industry year on year, through driving savings and ensuring the robustness of the Facilities Management Supply Chain.

The Indirects Category Buyer will be responsible for:

• Managing a £30 Million spend alongside the Head of Procurement across multiple FM categories, including HVAC, Security Services and Construction Services
• Being pivotal in the construction, maintenance, and ownership of a supplier catalogue for FM related products and / or services
• Successfully managing relationships with new and existing suppliers, communicating effectively on a day-to-day basis, and reviewing performance regularly
• Engaging with company initiatives by striving for continuous improvement and success within the procurement function and wider organisation

Required Background for the Indirects Category Buyer:

• 2 years+ commercial experience working as a Procurement Buyer gaining a strong understanding of FM category buying, with knowledge of system implementations within the procurement space, such as SAP, GEP, Wax Digital, and Coupa
• Impressive FM or Construction Procurement track record, with a CV clearly demonstrating personal achievements and experience in processes such as online auctions and SRM
• Experience of overseeing procurement processes, including RFI, Tender processes and handling high purchasing values and complex contracts
• A degree education and other qualifications, including CIPS are desirable
