Interim Procurement Manager - Convenience Retail - £340 to 440 per day

My client, a global leader in Oil and Gas, are seeking an experienced Category Manager in Convenience Retail procurement, to support their newly-created, global category for goods and services. This contract is an initial 6 months, paying between £340 and £440 per day depending on experience, based in Milton Keynes.


The Category Manager is responsible for end to end category performance, strategy and implementation, ensuring optimisation and fufilment of business requirements

You will:

  • Use market expertise to create transformative category strategies
  • Create effective implementation plans and support implementation to agreed timelines
  • Hold accountability for sourcing, negotiation and contract activity
  • Effectively engage with and manage business stakeholders, securing buy-in
  • Manage relaitonships with key regional and global suppliers
  • Oversee contract management and performance reporting


  • Around 10 years' related experience in Category Management, sourcing, contracting, tactical procurement and supplier management
  • Procurement experience in retail or ideally goods for resale
  • Strong skills of commercial negotiation and influence and supplier performance management
  • Demonstrable ability to manage key stakeholders
  • Experience working internationally and across multiple sites
