IT Software procurement Manager

Dealing with critical software and IT contracts, this procurement manager role offers a great opportunity for a forward-thinking software procurement expert to join a FTSE 200 telecommunication and technology company. Liaising with senior internal stakeholders from across the business, this role would fit a software procurement professional looking to take their career to the next level. Honing their already sharp sourcing and procurement management abilities and applying them to a challenging new opportunity.

IT Software Procurement Manager Overview:

  • Managing and influencing key senior internal stakeholders both within the procurement function and commercial functions to ensure the efficient running of your category, responsible for sourcing, tendering and management of software solutions.
  • Competently manage several vital supplier relationships, taking a lead on complex negotiations and long-term strategic goals.
  • Drive a culture of quality within the category, ensuring that the companies strategic and commercial requirements are being met.
  • Responsible for owning strategic planning, compliance, and revenue management. Whilst ensuring to keep up with rapid change as it happens within the wider business.

IT Software Procurement Manager Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will need to be a Software expert, having had experience in sourcing and working with software vendors. Knowledge or understanding of advanced and emerging technologies is desirable.
  • Able to display a history of successful stakeholder management, both internally, and with clients and suppliers.
  • Experience of the whole end to end procurement process. Including tendering, contact negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong academic record, with relevant qualifications. MCIPS or equivalent desirable
  • British or EU passport or holding a valid visa allowing you to live and work in the UK without any restriction

This role requires a software procurement expert, who will bring innovation and energy to an already exciting professional procurement team within a company which nurtures talent as is seen an as a market leader in telecomms and technology. The role provides a large amount of independence to work alongside senior managers to manage the category and set the strategic direction.
