Legal Vendor Manager

Your new role
As a Legal Vendor Manager you will act a business partner to business functions in order to maximise offerings. As expected, you will be required to manage the contract renewal process, ensuring that you are driving cost down, but also ensuring risk mitigation and maximising supplier offerings. As part of your role, you will manage suppliers after contracts are in place to ensure agreements are adhered to and performance metrics are being met.
You will work closely with various stakeholders across the business in order to understand requirements, which will allow you to negotiate effectively with suppliers. As well as this, you will need to develop supplier management processes and policies and strategise to ensure adherence/compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need strong stakeholder management skills as you will act as the focal point and mediator between the suppliers and the bank with the objective to achieve business goals. In addition, you will also need to be a strong negotiator with a strong eye for detail. Analysing and evaluating contracts to identify how supplier offerings can be maximised across the business.
Experience analysing and understanding Legal contracts IS A MUST.
You will need prior experience with Vendor managment and contract management within the Financial Services world, my client would be open to seeing candidates who have experience within the Insurance or Professional Services world too.
As expected, you will need to be comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders in order to engage, build rapport and obtain information.
