You will be joining a leading manufacturer who has partnered with some of the UK's leading brands within their market and hold an unrivalled reputation for superb customer service throughout their sales and distribution network.
Your role as Logistics Coordinator based at Skelmersdale will include:
Review excel spreadsheet information daily and cross-check with sage / SAP to ensure accuracy.
Communicate with Far East suppliers and our Far East office via email and telephone.
Make important decisions on shipping schedules based on costs and customer requirements.
Collate and use data for analysis reporting to the Line Manager and Managing Director.
Track shipments and outline any delays or issues to internal departments.
Organise factories to consolidate together and ensure items have relevant QC checks.
Speak regularly to shipping forwarders and negotiate competitive rates.
Be proactive throughout the day and aid all departments to ensure the process of imports flows positively throughout the business.
This is a permanent role Monday - Friday 8.30 - 17.00 (45 minutes for lunch)
To be successful with your application for Logistics Coordinator you will have import/export experience within a similar role along with:
Understanding of Microsoft Office would be beneficial as well as Sage and/or SAP software.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of making considered decisions by reviewing and analysing multiple factors.
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
EU Timber Regulation knowledge would be an advantage
