Master Production Scheduler

Description

As Master Production Scheduler your key accountability's will be;

  • Set manufacturing schedules in accordance with customer demand and operational objectives

  • Monitor progression and deviation of master-schedule, projecting likelihood of success or failure to allow time to generate counter measures

  • Develop and maintain systems to ensure capacity is always utilised effectively - providing future demand patterns to departmental leaders

  • Reacting to varying demand and changing priorities to support commercial good

  • Lead, deliver and communicate master schedule demands to all functions

  • Monitor, utilise and prevent E&0 Inventory

  • Respond daily to MRP exception messages (cancel, defer, expedite)

  • Conduit for customer related enquiries and publishing lead times and stock availability

  • Act as site early warning system for potential schedule failures

Profile

The successful Master Production Scheduler will be highly organised and work thoroughly on daily tasks. They will be able to qualify information and communicate findings confidently. They must be able to effectively work to deadlines. A candidate who can problem solve and work proactively is desired.

Key skill set/ experience for the Master Production Scheduler

  • Demonstrable experience (+5yrs) in a similar role

  • Detailed knowledge of the mechanics of delivery performance, capacity planning and inventory/resource management

  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record working as a Master Scheduler in a busy manufacturing organisation which is centred around lower volume / higher mix operations which return high-value revenues to the site.

  • Detailed understanding of S&OP processes

  • A background in LEAN manufacturing
