Materials Planner

As Materials Planner in this S. Yorkshire automotive business you will be responsible for, but not limiting to, the following tasks

  • Efficiently and accurately process customer's orders on a daily basis
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external contacts regarding orders
  • Control stock at all levels of production
  • Analyse statistics and create reports on this when required
  • Place orders with overseas suppliers in accordance to production and customer demand


The successful Materials Planner will have the following;

  • Approximately 1-3 years experience in a similar role and or industry
  • A solid background in logistics
  • Highly experienced in working under own initiative, demonstrating an ability to set & meet personal targets, combined with the flexibility to adjust to workload priorities to take account of new deadlines
  • Proven experience in the management of customer orders and able to effectively develop customer relationships
  • Good written and numerical skills
  • Strong systems knowledge including SAP, Excel, outlook and word


  • Experience of working in a multi-site environment
  • Fluent speaker of Spanish/French/German
