Your new role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be providing the business with administrative support in the Procurement Department. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a functional support function and be able to deal with all compliance that has to be met. Alongside this, you will be liaising with suppliers and the internal procurement team to ensure all requirements are met in a timely manner.
You will also be required to step in for the Buyer when needed, sourcing and obtaining suppliers and services at the best price possible. Stock taking may also be required within the role.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be familiar with working in a Procurement Department and understand the need for providing quality customer service support. Experience in negotiating and managing suppliers would also be a real benefit for this role. Alongside this, an understanding of Public Sector Procurement and legislative framework would be advantageous.
