Procurement Business Partner

Are you a driven procurement professional who can lead and implement strategy across indirect/non-pay procurement activity and be commercially astute? We have a great opportunity for a Procurement Business Partner to join our team, who can provide innovative solutions and expert guidance to maximise value for money, supporting us to achieve our strategy of Making What Matters Brilliant.
You’ll use your strong knowledge of the public contracts regulations to provide guidance to stakeholders to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, regulations and manage risk. Using your expertise in procurement, you’ll manage internal and external relationships, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered with a key focus on partnering with the different business areas and understanding their current and future strategic procurement needs. You’ll develop and implement sourcing plans focussing on value for money, sustainability, and social value. You’ll monitor trends and risks in the market to identify business opportunities and stay up to date with developments in the sector. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with other specialists within the team and the wider Finance team.
Our ideal candidate? You’ll be a MCIPS or equivalent qualified, with demonstrable experience of working with Public Contracts Regulations and within the public sector purchasing environment. You’ll also have knowledge of commercial law and e-tendering systems. Being commercially focussed is key to this role as well as being able continuous improvement minded, able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with individuals across our organisation.
