Procurement Category Lead (HR and Travel) role for prestigious Financial Services firm in London

Your new role
This is a very exciting role which has been created as part of the function's succession planning. You will be a Category lead, predominantly looking after their HR category, but also managing their travel procurement. You will be working a deputy for the head of this team which focuses on all people-based corporate spend, and represents 60% of the whole procurement fucntions's spend. You will be personally delivering on procurement projects and will also manage 1 individual initially, although the plan is for this to increase. This role will offer great breadth in terms of workload.

What you'll need to succeed
At this level you will need prior HR category experience as well as travel procurement. Previous line management experience is also a must for this role. Marketing category experience would also be a strong advantage and ideally you would have strong financial services, however they will consider strong candidates from corporate blue chips too. You will need to show that you have worked on an EMEA/Global scale in a strategic capacity. You will need excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to win hearts and minds of stakeholders across the business.
