Our client are a consultancy business working within the healthcare industry. They deliver procurement solutions and initiatives to help organisations source and supply equipment and consumables at the right time and at the right price. They are now looking for a Procurement Category Manager to join the team. This is a flexible opportunity allowing the post holder to work from home 2-3 days a week.
The Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for delivering efficient and effective procurement services on an allocated portfolio.
Create, develop, monitor and report on category strategy working within given objectives
Advise on procurement opportunities, developing strategies to maximise benefits, limit risk and aggregate spend.
Act as the main point of contact for your allocated portfolio
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
Manage the tendering and award of contracts
Develop spend efficiency reports for clients
Agree pricing and implementation of equipment and services with clients
Keep up to date with market changes and use this knowledge to develop strategies
Provide specialist advise on EU Procurement law
Utilise eProcurement and eTendering information systems
This role is based in London with the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days per week.
The successful Procurement Category Manager will be able to demonstrate:
Proven experience of Procurement/Category Management
Experience of working within healthcare/clinical settings
Thorough understanding of the Public Contract Regulations 2015
Advanced numerical and analytical skills
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Ability to travel to the London site and other sites as required
Full driving licence - Travel to the London site will be required 2-3 days a week.
