Procurement Manager

Your new company
You will be joining a large nationwide public sector organisation that is an employer of choice.

Your new role
Day to day you will be tasked with managing a team of 5 individuals, establishing, planning out and monitoring their schedule, this makes up around 30% of the role. This position is a hands on management role but around 30% of the role is client facing working with suppliers in an integrated way, often from their offices. The last 30% of the role is around integrated team working and project management using sound technical and procurement knowledge to step in when any Senior Procurement Officers require assistance. This role will involve a lot of influencing, supplier negotiation is key to success in this position, you will need to be firm and strong but also collaborative and fair.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have in-depth Category Management knowledge that has delivered outstanding value for
money and strong Commercial outcomes. The ability to demonstrate the implementation of the latest Category Management methodology and a clear demonstration of staying abreast of latest Category Management market trends. Proven experience in influencing Senior Internal and External stakeholders. Evidence of the ability to identify process improvements and successfully manage changes that deliver great Commercial outcomes. Experience of leading strategic contract award negotiations and resolving dispute resolutions through negotiation. Strong leadership capability, being able to illustrate how to successfully lead a team or manage a project
