Procurement Manager job in Bristol, £37,000 - £40,000 per annum, 12-month fixed term contract

A leading public-sector organisation based in Bristol are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join their busy team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Your new role
You will be responsible for category management of a defined group of goods, services and suppliers which could include Laboratory Equipment and Supplies, Travel, Stationery, Print, Temporary Staff, IT, Office Furniture and Engineering.
You will conduct spend analysis across your commodity to provide opportunities for savings and efficiencies and increase delivery of value for money, ensuring the correct contract coverage is in place, benchmarking contracts and ensuring all documentation and contract records are maintained and recorded in accordance with the procurement policy.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have substantial experience in a procurement role responsible for tendering and commodity management, ideally experience of tendering under EU Public Procurement rules and have a track record in identifying saving opportunities in complex organisations and in achieving the target savings.
What you'll get in return
This role is being offered with the salary between £37,000 - £40,000 on a 12-month fixed term contract.
