The Production and Planning Manager is a pivotal role within the organisation and will be responsible for ensuring all customer orders are managed and planned into production in a timely manner, ensuring that production capacity is managed effectively.
Manage the planning of all customer orders into production, investigate newly released sales orders and discuss requirements with the sales team to launch shop orders in to production at the correct time.
Ensure that production capacity is being optimised and managed effectively
Work closely with all warehouse and factory team members to ensure the smooth running of the production facility
Lead and support the Production and Warehousing Teams to achieve KPIs.
Optimise production processes, oversee the management of labour, materials and processes.
Provide suggestions of potential developments to the short to medium term production strategy and work closely to communicate key elements to the Senior Operations Manager
Ensure stock is effectively managed and stored to meet production needs, minimise unnecessary holding and stock loss or damage
The successful Production and Planning Manager will be able to demonstrate:
Experience working in a Planning position
Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems
Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM), Structures and Routings
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
People management skills
Excellent attention to detail
- Annual Salary between £30,000 and £38,000 depending on experience
