Based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent our client are a successful family run business that specialise in supplying product to wholesale companies.
The Purchasing and Stock Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing procurement and stock management ensuring customer requirements are met on time and in full (OTIF).
Managing the sourcing and purchasing of stock
Negotiated on cost prices, lead times and supplier terms
Build and maintain effective supplier relationships ensuring partnerships are mutually beneficial
Manage inventory and maintain optimum stock levels to ensure the business can respond quickly to any changes in customer demand
Create, maintain and utilise reports, analysing data and sales trends.
Work closely with the Sales team to maximise opportunities and minimise any risk of stock shortages
The successful Purchasing and Stock Control Manager will be able to demonstrate:
Previous experience in a Purchasing position
Contract and product negotiation skills
Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
Good communication skills and ability to build rapport both internally and externally
Accuracy and attention to detail
Planning and organisation skills
