Senior Buyer, Category Manager
A newly created procurement opportunity for this global employer of choice. This high-profile role will support all procurement activity and act as the key facilitator to ensure the procurement needs are developed and delivered. Working closely with senior procurement colleagues, this role will help develop and deliver aligned strategies, initiatives and projects and ensure procurement projects and savings are effectively managed and tracked. Duties will encompass: act as an ambassador for Procurement across the organisation; work with key stakeholders to manage and deliver procurement needs; develop tracking mechanisms to deliver savings and projects; lead on contract negotiations; and help develop a culture of continual improvement with suppliers.
With demonstrable procurement experience in a progressive career to date, the successful candidate will be able to evidence a strong passion and commitment to procurement with part CIPS qualified preferred. To succeed in this challenging role will require a high level of commercial awareness and the ability to positively influence and interact with senior stakeholders across all business functions.
