A well established, reputable non-profit/public sector organisation in the Merseyside region is seeking an experienced Category Manager to join their thriving Procurement team.
Your new role
As Senior Category Manager, you will assist the Social Care team of this non-profit organisation to oversee their procurement process. You will manage a small team of procurement professionals to help achieve organisational objectives. As part of this role, you will influence and lead on spend within the Social Care category of the business, as well as influencing category strategy. As a Senior Category Manager, you will take a strategic approach to identify opportunities for achieve efficiencies and value for money.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have prior Category Management experience, preferably with some exposure to Social Care category spend. You will have prior OJEU experience and it would be ideal if you are MCIPS qualified. You must be able to prioritise a busy workload, as you will face many competing business priorities that need attending to. You must be comfortable in leading a team, as well as having a strong track record in procurement and category management.
What you'll get in return
You will receive an excellent rate of pay between £400 and 550 per day depending on level of relevant category experience (inside scope of IR35) and the opportunity to work on a high profile project.
