Global leader in the financial and professional services sector is seeking a highly specialised procurement professional to manage its Facilities Services spend for Oceania. This position will play a key role in managing critical internal stakeholder relationships across a multinational, matrix structured organization to increase procurement's visibility and reputation. You will be directly responsible for a wide range of facilities services covering catering, utilities, cleaning & maintenance, courier and other services for multiple sites across the region.

As the Senior Category Manager for Facilities you will take full ownership of the category area to deliver maximum value to the business. You will be the key point of contact between the suppliers and internal customers.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Category Manager - Facilities Services position will be:

  • Development of a best-in-class category plan for the facilities services spend in Oceania in alignment with regional and global leaders
  • Implement specific Supplier Relationship Management strategies tailored to the business needs
  • Identify opportunities to provide significant savings to the business through sourcing and demand management activities
  • Make use of the 7-step strategic sourcing process to run best-in-class sourcing projects
  • Develop and nurture critical internal relationships for procurement with historically difficult business stakeholders

To be considered for this position as Senior Category Manager - Facilities Services you will require the following skills:

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within a large multinational blue-chip firm with multi-site responsibility
  • Strategic Sourcing and Category management experience within the relevant facilities services categories (catering, utilities, cleaning & maintenance, courier)
  • Excellent communication and influencing ability to build strong internal business relationships
  • Must be degree qualified in a quantitative degree such as business, finance, economics, engineering or mathematics.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent use of Excel and sourcing systems
