You will be part of a small, inclusive but highly valued busy commercial team, providing a proactive and professional supplier and contract management service, which will involve the placement and management of contracts across a variety of spend categories, including People Services, Technology, Corporate, Buildings and Market Research.
You will be expected to manage commercial governance processes, conduct market testing and supplier engagement and as well as ensuring compliance with procurement law and CMA and Government commercial policy.
The role also involves the development of sourcing and procurement strategies in line with Government Commercial Function professional standards and the management of key suppliers, providing an end to end commercial perspective.
You will work closely with internal customers and various service delivery functions to support the management of contracts, ensuring supplier performance and value for money. You will also be responsible for the management and pricing of contracts, managing disputes with suppliers and providing commercial advice to colleagues at all levels.
Professionally qualified (MCIPS) or working towards CIPS and have experience of commercial contracting, contract and supplier management in relevant areas, along with good communication, negotiation and people management skills.
