Your new role
You will be responsible for maintaining an optimal levels of stock at all times as well as constantly evaluating product count. You must ensure that supply and demand is taken into account whilst taking a pro-active approach to replenishing so that both overstocking and running out of stock are avoided.You will also be expected to carry out the entire phase of product purchasing, from placing orders with suppliers to tracking shipments and receiving orders. It will be your responsibility to ensure that purchases arrive on time and in good condition. You will also take charge of internal stock transfers, moving products to production units when needed or removing obsolete items.
When new items arrive, it will be expected that you will place them into storage following a methodical process to ensure that all items can be found quickly and efficiently by following a specific organisation scheme that guarantees ease of retrieval and maintaining a steady flow of stock from storage to shop-floor throughout the workday. It is essential to maintain an accurate inventory of both stock items and transactions, noting down dates of purchase and receipt, item count and details, issues encountered, and more. consolidate this into regular reports presented to their line manager.
Given the constant flow of products, this role will require you to undertake inventory audits to eliminate discrepancies. Audits for small batches occur every day, while large-scale audits may be performed monthly and annually. These involve checking for quality as well as making sure that finances add up and all products are listed in the inventory with correct details. It is essential that applicants hold a full driving licence. It is desirable but not essential that applicants hold a C* driving licence and fork lift experience.
What you'll need to succeed
A successful candidate will be experienced in stock control with a proven track record. Attention to detail is extremely important in this position as well as great communication skills. You must also be self motivated and driven to succeed as this is a growing business. You must also be willing to take on any additional duties that the role and business requires.
What you'll get in return
A role that will pay a salary of up to £25,000 depending on experience working Monday-Friday 7:00-16:00 with 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
