Your new role
Hays are working with Lumiradx on an exclusive basis for the recruitment of a Supply Chain Director. As an integral part of the Operations team, reporting to the Operations Director, you will strengthen the Supply Chain Group covering raw material supply and warehousing as the company expands. This Supply Chain group will cover all incoming materials to feed their UK production and ancillary processes. You will play an integral part in set-up of the centralised warehouse as well as identify and deploy a warehouse management system. You will provide strategic Supply Chain leadership to your associated teams, define and implement the growth strategy for the Supply Chain team covering all UK raw material supply and warehousing. Collaborating with the Director of Fulfillment, play an integral part in delivery of the centralised warehouse that will serve both raw material supplies and fulfilment and export operations for finished goods. You will identify and deploy an automated warehouse management system within the centralised warehouse .Ensure robust procurement processes and ensure materials supplied meet delivery and quality requirements along with developing Warehousing and Inventory Control processes. Lead negotiation of newly sourced components with key suppliers. Lead continuous improvement activities for supply chain processes to improve performance and drive down purchasing costs.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be a highly motivated individual that can demonstrate stregic leadership, vision, flexibility and can do attitude. Ensure positive, productive and proactice relationships, vision, flexibility and internal key stakeholders. You will be self driven, takes ownership and demonstrates high levels of personal accountability, and is motivated to complete the goals and objectives. You will have demonstrated experience in strategic leadership of Supply Chain activities within a fast growing demanding environment. You will require extensive experience within a technical manufacturing background and in previous experience managed significant projects in your career and worked with growth in your environment within a materials and procurement function. Proven experience in leading a procurement team is essential too. A track record of people management and ability to collaborate in a complex organisation. The ability to develop a continuous improvement culture and experienced with MRP/ERP. Able to travel between company sites as needed and therefore a car will be required.
