The Planning and Transport department forms the central hub between suppliers, the warehouse, production, loading, hauliers, customers, hygiene, engineering, and other external stakeholders. It is a key cornerstone that allows our operation to run effectively and efficiently, ensuring all parties know what is required from them, and at what time. As Supply Chain Planner you will have the following responsibilites:
Forecast future demand requirements based on historic sales trends
Produce and communicate accurate and reliable production plans, and monitor progress against the production plan
To download orders from customers and update production plans making any changes as necessary and communicate with 3rd parties
To purchase all raw materials across both sites ensuring we have the right amount at the right time and communicate with suppliers
The ideal candidate will have a solutions based can do attitude and will be experienced in planning large manufacturing facilities and the challenges this presents, ideally knowing what "good" looks like. They will be highly communicative with the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.
The Supply Chain Planner role requires someone who is highly communicative, with strong interpersonal skills, to build good relationships with all the above areas. You should have an eye for detail however be able to keep things simple and to the point.
The successful candidate for the Supply Chain Planner role based in Leicester will be offered c. £25,000 - £30,000 plus 33 days holiday (Inc. bank holidays)
You will work Sunday through to Thursday and your hours will be 8am - 4pm
