Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager

Our client, based in Sheffield, are part of a larger organisation which operates globally. Following a period of growth and continued operational excellence they now seek to improve the supply chain processes and specifically their systems by recruiting this Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager. With excellent benefits, a very low staff turnover and opportunities for progression, this role would suit candidates at all levels.


The role of Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager will ultimately be responsible for:

  • Planning; developing demand, forecasting and systems
  • Purchasing; developing contracts, strategies and improving supplier relationships
  • Team Management; mentoring and developing a small team
  • Logistics; analysing existing contracts and implementing improvement projects.
  • Systems; strong development required on an existing bespoke ERP/MRP system.


Ideally the successful candidate for this role of Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager will have:

  • Experience of implementing systems - cruitial.
  • A desire to make a new role their own in an SME environment
  • A background in purchasing (Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain experience would be desirable alongside this)
  • Held a similar role previously OR be looking for the next step to progress.

Job Offer

£40000 - £50000 (DOE)
