Your new role
As a Warehouse Team Manager you will be running an operational section , overseeing activity to ensure you are meeting your customer needs. You will ensure your people engage, are well managed and perform to the highest standards against set KPIs. You will act as an advocate th their culture, values and safety standards. You will hold regular briefings and meetings with your team encouraging them to provide their own ideas to improve overall service standards to the customer.You will manage on average 30 staff per shift.
What you'll need to succeed
Excellent management style encouraging your team to be the best they can. Be creative and implementing new ways to improve performance and the ability to identify and evaluate potential risks and develop solutions. Have a good understanding of warehouse management systems and excellent relationship building skills. Candidates should also have familiarity working in a unionised environment with a strong operational background.
